Secondfloor’s Dragonback Harness Tutorial
The Dragonback Harness is a hip & thigh harness that is great alternative to futomomo for single point inversion suspensions. Most people find the Dragonback to be fairly sustainable in single point inversions. This tie is highly adaptable to different body types.
for self-suspension
For self-suspensions, this tie is really great because it is so sustainable and allows for a lot of freedom of movement. This tie can be easily tied on oneself because the stem and all the frictions go straight down the front of the leg. The Dragonback can be locked off to a suspension point from a standing position, so you don’t need to be able to lift your body weight to self-suspend in this tie. Just make sure your head will clear the ground before you go into inversion.
for dynamic partnered suspension/transitions
For partnered suspension, this is a great tie for people who are beginning to learn how to do transitions/dynamic suspensions. The bottom can drop down into an inversion any time they need a break from a tough chest tie. Additionally, the Dragonback helps if you get stuck and need to take a minute to adjust a tie or figure out where to go next. You can drop into an inversion to safely make any necessary adjustments to the chest, uplines, etc. and then move on to the next position.
